Homemade Bread Day!

HOMEMADE BREAD DAY!

Come on, is there anything more satisfying than the smell of bread? I think not!

Freshly baked, sliced and smothered in butter with a little sprinkling of flaky salt, heaven. Stuffed with lots of cold cuts to make an epic sandwich or torn up for dipping and mopping up soups and stews - whatever you do, bread is an essential part of any meal.

The world went banana bread crazy during the pandemic lockdown, but we are spoilt for choice when it comes to all the different varieties of breads. From flatbreads, baguettes, sourdough, bagels and focaccia to a simple bap, all loaves are beautiful in their own way.

So in the spirit of all things bread and the fact that it’s Homemade Bread Day I have selected a few bread inspired recipes for you to check out.

One of my favourites, an Italian classic by @lockdowncuisine_Tomato Bruschetta.

Now, it would be rude of me not to include a banana bread recipe! Luckily, @counting_zacros has got us covered with his hard-hitting Protein Banana Bread.

And let’s finish things off with a bit of chocolate with @foodbyjackk’s luxurious Chocolate Orange Bread And Butter Pudding!

OUR FAVOURITE RECIPES UPLOADED THIS WEEK!

You guys have been killing me this week with the incredible recipes you have been uploading. Honestly, every time I see a new recipe go up I want to immediately stop what I’m doing and get in the kitchen.

Let me show you a few recently uploaded recipes. Beware: they will make you hungry - you have been warned!

Come on, how good do @imtheonewhocooks’ Nduja & Salmon Fish Cakes with Sundried Tomato Pesto look?!

@zarskitchen has got me wanting to ditch a roast turkey this Christmas and serve up her Lemongrass Turkey Meatballs With Udon Noodle Soup instead.

I don’t think veg has ever looked so good! Check out @recipebreakout’s beautiful Winter Vegetables with a Blackberry and Mustard Sauce.

That's it for now, stay safe and happy cooking!
