Peeling garlic


Garlic can be a laborious thing to peel especially if are using lots of cloves to makes a big batch of garlic pulp/ puree, as I do.


A little trick that makes things a lot easier is to break the garlic bulb up into cloves. Place the cloves in a bowl and microwave them on a high heat for 30 seconds. This doesn't effect the flavour in anyway, but it helps loosen the skin so that the cloves slip out of their little jackets quicker and easier.
