Videos & Hellos!

Videos & Hellos!

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!

Video is a great way to demonstrate techniques, recipe preparation or culinary entertainment. You can even link to a video from your CooklyBookly printed cookbook using a QR-Code (coming soon).

CooklyBookly has a simple feature for linking a written step to a specific point within a video. It makes life really simple for a user and avoids scrubbing through the video to find the right point.

SAY HELLO TO ZENA

This week we would like to introduce you to our very own Zena Kamgaing, Head of Operations here at CooklyBookly. She’s also known as @zenaskitchen on Instagram and TikTok. You can find over 150 of Zena’s beautiful recipes on her CooklyBookly profile. Among other things, Zena is a passionate homecook, food enthusiast and recipe creator based in London. She also happens to be the very first person to sign up to CooklyBookly!

To give you a little more insight into Zena we have asked her a few questions....

Q: What is your go-to recipe time and time again?

A: It has to be a tie between Coconut Red Lentil Dal and Roasted Vegetable Lasagna.

Q: What has been your most popular recipe?

A: My Paprika Garlic Butter Chicken!

Q: Who is your favourite celebrity chef?

A: I don’t know that I have one now (as there are too many to choose from!), but growing up it was Jamie Oliver.

Q: What would be your death row meal?

A: That’s a tough one! I think I’d want my last meal to be a giant plate of chips. Well, fries. McDonald’s to be precise. Please don’t revoke my foodie card 😂.

And that ladies and gentlemen is Zena Kamgaing.

WHO DOESN'T LOVE A GOOD TART?

We do! Whether it’s a Chocolate Orange TartEgg Tart, or a Ricotta Tart with Mixed Tomatoes or a Crab Tart. We love them all equally. Savoury or sweet, we're not picky. Luckily we are spoiled for choice over at CooklyBookly with all the stunning recipes you guys have been loading up.

We have been drooling over our keyboards looking at all the different tart types and although they all look delicious and we could eat them all, we have really taken a fancy to @nicola_family_kitchen’s Rustic Apple Tart. It's a beautiful alternative to a traditional apple pie made with the addition of pistachios and blackberries.
