TECHNIQUES: BOOST YOUR KITCHEN CONFIDENCE!
Our vision for CooklyBookly is to be a lot more than just another recipe site. In time, we want to become the ultimate culinary Lexikon with content that is populated by our creator community. In fact, our ultimate goal is to help raise the standard of cooking across the world and across diverse culinary styles.
To this end, we have a dedicated Technique listing in CooklyBookly.
A technique is a content that aims to teach people specific culinary skills using text, video or both. Being able to click on a specific instruction step in the technique and jump to the right place makes things super convenient for the user.
While some techniques are short and sweet, others might require a whole series of posts. These can then be neatly organized by creating a Collection.

Father’s day is only a few days away and we can’t think of a better gift than the gift of food.
So show your love and appreciation for your dad, grandad, father of your children with a beautiful homemade meal. Whether you cook him a hearty breakfast, a scrumptious lunch or his favourite dinner homemade is always best.
Here are a few ideas to get you inspired in the kitchen this Sunday.
CREATOR OF THE WEEK : CHEF ROMAIN AVRIL
Born in Paris in 1985, Chef Romain Avril discovered his passion for cooking at the early age of thirteen. By seventeen, he was working at a 1 Michelin Star restaurant in Brittany (France). He obtained his Bachelor Degree in French and Chinese gastronomy in his native land of France.
At 21, Avril moved to London and began cooking at The Greenhouse in Mayfair, London. It was in England that Avril began moving away from his classic French training and towards fusion and molecular gastronomy.
In 2010, Avril decided to move to Canada. He started as a Sous Chef at Colborne Lane Restaurant in Toronto, then moved on to open Origin North Restaurant and Bar as the Chef De Cuisine. Finally, he became Executive Chef at the renowned La Société Bistro. He then took on the big project of opening Lavelle restaurant as well as Goldie Bar. His latest project was opening Neruda, in the Beaches area of Toronto.
Chef Romain is currently working on opening his first restaurant and will soon be launching his vegan cookbook.
Chef Romain has lots of amazing content on CooklyBookly. Some of our favourites include:
Decadent, light and filled with hazelnut paste goodness, this doughnut recipe is the perfect snack or treat to feed your sweet tooth craving.
This dish is better than the chicken version. Perfect texture and flavour, with a nice kick to it.

FACE BEHIND THE FOOD!
We are looking at introducing you lovely lot to our Instagram feed. So if you're not shy, strike a pose, smile and email us your photo for us to share.
Sat in a beach front restaurant on holiday, in the kitchen cooking, sat in the garden enjoying a drink or a funny photo, whatever you think would work best. Feel free to be as creative as you want! But please remember the main part of the photo needs to be visible in a square Instagram image.
I'll go first, here's a picture of me doing my best not to make a fool of myself on national television. This is from when I was filming for Channel 4s Beat The Chef as a judge.
That's it for now, stay safe and happy cooking!
