Asian Sticky Wings

Asian sticky wings are similar to buffalo chicken wings. Both are cooked in the same way but only differ in the sauces used. Each dish is unique to its place of origin. But you can always change or modify it according to your palate. When I try a new dish, I always want to try the authentic version first and then modify it. Otherwise, you will never know how the original dish tastes.

These are very delicious wings with a blend of wonderful flavours. As these are oven baked, the fat drips off and are healthier than the fried version. The wings are cooked in oven, coated in sauce and cooked again in the oven for the last few minutes to make them crispier.

If you love wings, am sure you are going to love this recipe.

Step 1:

Marinate the chicken wings for 15 minutes until the oven preheats at 180C.

Step 2:

In a large pan, add the sesame oil, ginger and garlic, sauté for 2 minutes and add all the sauces, bring to a boil so the sauce is nice and sticky. This will take about 3-4 minutes on a medium flame.

Step 3:

Line the wings on a baking tray. Do not over crowd the tray, place the wings further apart and bake them for about 20-25 minutes on the middle rack.

Step 3:

Take the wings out and put them in the sauce dish, mix and coat the wings with sauce. Transfer them back to the baking tray and bake them for about 3-5 minutes. Garnish them with sesame seeds and spring onions. Enjoy the crispy wings!
