Easy Caesar Salad With Homemade Croutons

Lets be frank, Caesar salad is and will always be the king of all salads. We all know how to put a Caesar salad together so most of this recipe will be common sense, but I add a few extra bits to make this Caesar salad even better including homemade croutons and the Shakespeare Seasonings Garlic & Herb to add an extra flavour to your chicken.

  1. Add the chicken and 1 tbsp of the vegetable oil to a large bowl. Sprinkle the Shakespeare Seasonings Garlic & Herb to the chicken and rub into the chicken. The vegetable oil will allow the seasoning to stick better.
  2. Put a frying pan on a medium heat. Use the other 1 tbsp of vegetable oil to add to the frying pan, add the prepared chicken to the pan and leave to cook (turn frequently).
  3. As the chicken is cooking, prepare the salad.
  4. Turn the grill on to medium-high. Cut the loaf into crouton sized cubes, and then place onto an oven tray with greaseproof paper. Drizzle with olive oil (I personally have a spray bottle with olive oil in which I find very useful for many recipes) and sprinkle the crushed garlic over. Place under the grill, cook one side until golden and turn over. Keep checking every few minutes as these can easily burn.
  5. Ensure that the chicken is cooked through (I use a Thermapan to ensure that out chicken is cooked to 75ºC), and slice lengthways.
  6. Place chicken on the prepared salad, add the croutons, sprinkle over parmesan and drizzle over the Caesar salad dressing.
  7. Enjoy!
