Beer Can Chicken

Beer Can Chicken

One to wow your guests!

This is definitely a dinner party dish sure to wow your guests as you, carefully, bring it out the oven. Taking the chicken off the can can be a bit faffy but definitely worth it! Give it a go!

1) Pre-heat the oven to 180C and bring chicken to room temperature

2) Pour half the can of beer in to a glass (some will be used for the gravy base, the rest you can drink!)

3) Add the ‘in the can’ spices/herbs

4) Pop the chicken on to the beer can, gracefully

5) Mix all the dried herbs/spices for the marinade in to the butter until properly combined

6) Carefully spread the butter mix on to the chicken, if you do this before the chicken is on the can it gets messy - but please do if you think it’s easier!

7) Pop some of the poured out beer in to the base of your roasting tin along with a carrot, onion, garlic & your stock (makes the gravy!)

8) Roast in the pre-heated oven for 1 hour and 10 mins but always check the packaging of the chicken just in case

9) Once carefully taken out the oven, remove the chicken from the can and leave to rest for at least 10-15 mins

BE CAREFUL REMOVING IT FROM THE OVEN!
