Ingredients
  • 2 chicken breasts butterflied and sliced into 2 portions (4 in total)
  • 2½ tbsps natural yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste or 1 teaspoon each if using fresh
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • juice of half a lemon
  • ¼ red chilli
  • 1 Heaped tablespoon tandoori masala powder
optional
  • ½ tsp red food colour
For the burger
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • lettuce
  • 4 tbsps mayo
  • 2 tbsps chilli sauce
  • 4 buns
Mango Salsa
  • 1 medium mango, diced
  • ½ red onion, diced
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • salt to taste
  • 1 Heaped tablespoon chopped coriander

Tandoori Chicken Burger & Mango Salsa


  1. Once the chicken is sliced, set aside and mix the marinade ingredients in a separate bowl. Once its made to your desired taste, coat the chicken in the marinade and leave for 4-24 hours.
  2. Once ready to cook, bbq over a medium heat (brushing with butter as it cooks) or grill in your oven.
  3. Mix the mango salsa ingredients in a bowl and the chilli sauce and mayo to make your chilli mayonnaise.
  4. Assemble the burger
  5. Mayo, lettuce, tomato, chicken and salsa.
