Greek Chicken Gyros with Mint Tzatziki

Greek style chicken gyros marinated in a tangy fresh yoghurt & oregano sauce, grilled to perfection and served with a mint tztatziki dip. Perfect in wraps, flatbreads or with a delicious chickpea salad.

  1. In a large tub, mix the chopped chicken with the marinade ingredients, stir thoroughly, season well and then cover and chill for 3+ hours or overnight
  2. Whilst marinating, grate the de-seeded cucumber, squeeze out all excess water with paper towels and mix with the yoghurt, oil and chopped mint. Leave to chill in the fridge for at least 30mins
  3. When ready, heat the BBQ or griddle pan, fry the chicken for 3-5mins each side until cooked through. Rest for 5 mins before serving
  4. Serve in flatbreads or wraps with the tzatziki, and perhaps some grilled courgette or red pepper
