Total 45 minutes

What’s very important with steak is that they should always be at room temp when they hit the pan. So an hour before you start, take the steaks out of the fridge, season with salt and pepper and let rest on a chopping board.

Take a saucepan and bring some water to the boil. Salt the water then drop in the pasta.

Heat an iron skillet or non stick pan, oil and cook your steaks to your liking. When done, set aside to rest while you continue with the pasta.

Bit more oil in the pan used for the steak and throw in the diced onion and cook until starting to go translucent. Then throw in the garlic and the bell pepper. Stir and then add the butter and tinned tomatoes. Combine while adding in all the Cajun seasoning. Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes, remove from the heat and add in the cream. Feel free to use more cream if it’s too spicy.

Slice the steak, serve with the pasta and garnish with dried parsley and jalapeño flakes.
