Ingredients
Burger Patties
  • 450 g Ground chicken
  • 2 tbsps Breadcrumbs
  • 3 Green onions (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Chipotle chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • ½ Cup of finely chopped baby spinach
  • Cup of finely chopped cilantro leaves
  • Salt for seasoning
Spicy mayo
  • Cup of mayo
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 tsp Finely chopped parsley leaves
  • Salt for seasoning
For assembly
  • Slices of french bread
  • Sliced red onions
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Havarti cheese slices
  • Finely sliced jalapenos

Open faced Chicken Burger

  1. Add all the ingredients mentioned under the section "Burger Patties" to the ground chicken and mix everything really well and let it chill in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Mix all the ingredients mentioned under the section "Spicy Mayo" to whip up a quick sauce for the open faced burgers.
  3. Fashion round patties with this mixture and cook them over a grill or on a hot skillet till they are perfectly seared on all sides and cooked through.
  4. Butter the slices of french bread and toast them on the skillet till they are beautifully crisp and layer the lettuce, sliced onions , spicy mayo sauce and the burger patties on top. Top it off with a slice of havarti cheese and pop it in the oven and broil it for 3-4 minutes till the cheese has melted.
  5. Then top everything off with finely sliced jalapenos , finely chopped parsley and some more spicy mayo and then just dig in!
