with a honey mint glaze
These halloumi fries are quick and versatile and can be eaten as a snack, starter, meal or side dish. Finished off with a sweet and fresh glaze, these fries take cooking halloumi to a whole other level.
Try dipping the halloumi fries into sweet chilli sauce. You won't be disappointed.
Cut the halloumi into long, thin strips so that they resemble fries.
In a small bowl, mix your flour, paprika, chilli flakes, salt, pepper and garlic granules. Then, dip each strip of halloumi into the mixture ensuring that it is evenly coated in the dry mix.
In a deep frying pan, pour in oil so it comes 1cm on the side of the pan. Let the oil heat up and then carefully place the halloumi fries into the pan, you may need to do this in several batches. Cook the halloumi for roughly 2 minutes, until the outside is golden and crispy.
Place the halloumi fries onto a serving dish. Then, drizzle honey over them (you can adjust the amount of honey you use depending on your taste.) Finish them off with roughly torn pieces of fresh mint and enjoy!
