Thai Mango Sticky Rice Dessert

Khao New Ma Muang

One of the most popular desserts you probably will have heard of! This delicate dessert is perfect for something different to end your Meal course.


  1. Bring your coconut milk to a simmer on medium heart and place your panda leaf in to extract extra aroma.
  2. Add in your sugar and salt and stir till dissolved, then remove from heat.
  3. Save about ¼ Cup of the coconut milk to the side to top the dessert later.
  4. Pour your coconut milk over you cooked sticky rice, mix in well and let rest for a few minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, peel and slice your golden mangos.
  6. Once your sticky rice has cooled, place your sliced mangos on top of the sticky rice or on the side.
  7. Pour some coconut milk over the top and sprinkle sesames seeds and you're ready to serve!
