  • 600 ml Vegetable Stock
  • 2 tsps Tumeric
  • 3 tsps Cumin
  • 2 tsps Garlic

  • 1 Heaped teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Heaped teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Juice of Lime
  • 1 Heaped teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 10 Curry Leaves

Slow Cooker Chana Dal

A warm comforting curry


  1. Soak your dal in water preferably overnight if not 2 hours. Chop up your vegetables, add the vegetables into the slow cooker with the dal. Then add the stock, tumeric, cumin, garlic powder and seasoning. Place on high for 3 hours.
  2. Once the stock has absorbed and it is thick start making your garnish. In a pan add some oil, garlic, cumin seeds and mustard seeds into a pan and cook until crispy.
  3. Place on top of the dal mixture and serve with rice, roti and samosas or anything you like!
  4. Enjoy!
