Popcorn Chicken and Spicy chicken burgers

  1. Start by cutting up the chicken fillets into small popcorn sized bites.
  2. Soak your chicken pieces in milk and store in the fridge for for 20 minutes.
  3. Whilst the chicken is soaking, in a small container add a pinch of pepper, a pinch of salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder and the flour.
  4. Remove the chicken pieces from the fridge and add one large egg and mix together.
  5. Then roll each popcorn chicken bite in your flour mixture. Coat each portion well on all sides.
  6. Then, add water to your remaining batter and dip each chicken piece back into it then back into the flour.
  7. Set each piece aside for a few minutes while you heat the oil. This will allow the flour to stick to the chicken well.
  8. Ensure the oil is around 350°F (175°C) in order to cook evenly.
  9. Drop in a few pieces of popcorn chicken into the fryer and heat until golden brown on all sides. Turn regularly! We fry each piece for 4-5 minutes to ensure the chicken is cooked through.
  10. Remove each batch from the fryer and allow to cool on a couple of sheets of paper, then enjoy!

For your chicken burgers:

  1. Season your chicken fillets with the same seasonings as your popcorn chicken and use the same process to fry until golden brown.
