  • 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 tbsp Chinese Five Spice
  • ½ tsp White Pepper
  • 1 tsp Red Food Colouring

Char Sui Chicken

I know I know it's usually Pork but hear me out, this works just as well as Pork

A beautiful twist on a beloved oriental classic

Total 6 hours 25 minutes
  1. In a mixing bowl add all the marinade ingredients and whisk together, then add the chicken and throughly coat and incorporate the marinade in and around all the chicken. Cover and place in the fridge for 6hrs, minimum of 2hrs.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200℃, grab a baking tray and line with tin foil and fold over edges. Take chicken out and place in the baking tray and place in the oven and cook for 20mins.
  3. With the leftover marinade from the mixing bowl. empty it into a saucepan and place over medium heat and begin to reduce for 5-6mins until you get a thick sauce left.
  4. Once chicken is cooked, place on chopping and cut into slice, either brush on sauce or poor over, your choice. Enjoy
