Fluffy American Pancakes

The best days start with a stack of these

It's probably not every morning that you can wake up and spend time making pancakes, however, when you do get that chance pancakes are always a great way to start the day. I love pancakes because not only do they taste delicious on their own, but they're so versatile and can be coupled with amazing ingredients depending on your diet and what you fancy.

  1. In a large bowl, mix the pancake ingredients together until you've achieved a smooth consistency
  2. In a pan on medium heat, heat a capful of oil. Once the oil is hot, use a large spoon or ladle to spoon the mixture into the pan
  3. Cook the pancake until small bubbles begin to form, at this point you should flip the pancake
  4. When both sides are golden brown, the pancake is ready
  5. Lightly brush your bacon with maple syrup (using as little or as much as you want)
  6. Cook the bacon according to packet instructions
  7. Serve the bacon on top of the pancakes with extra maple syrup if you like
