Ingredients
  • 400 g Boneless chicken cubes
  • 2 tbsps Tandoori powder
  • 1 tbsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
  • ½ tbsp Coriander powder
  • Drizzle of mustard oil
  • Salt for seasoning
  • 1 Red onion sliced
  • 1 Green capsicum diced
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Sprig of curry leaves
  • 2 - 3 Green chillies (finely sliced)
  • 1 Garlic (finely minced)

Tawa Chicken Fry

  1. Marinate the chicken with the dry spices, salt and mustard oil and keep aside for 10 minutes
  2. In a wok take 1 tbsp of oil and once its hot, add curry leaves and cumin seeds and let it splutter.
  3. Then add minced garlic and green chillies and fry for a couple of minutes till the garlic is slightly softened.
  4. Then add the onions and fry till the onions are translucent. Add the green capsicum and fry for another few minutes
  5. Then add the marinated chicken and fry on high heat for 5 - 8 minutes and then reduce the heat to medium and cover and cook for 20 minutes.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked through, increase the heat and continue frying to get a bit of sear on the chicken pieces.
  7. Switch off the heat and finish off with a squeeze of lemon juice and some freshly chopped coriander leaves
