Homemade Salted Caramel is perfect for topping your pancakes, cheesecake, ice cream or any other sweet treats.

Ingredients
  • 200 g Granulated Sugar
  • 100 g Salted Butter
  • 120 ml Double Cream
  • 1 tsp Sea salt

  1. 1. In a heavy-duty saucepan over medium heat, melt down the sugar into an amber like liquid by stirring constantly with a wooden spoon or heat resistant spatula. *Being careful not to burn it.*
  2. When the sugar is completely melted, stir in the butter and whisk until combined. Then allow to simmer without stirring/whisking for upto 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and add in the Double Cream. *Be careful, as the caramel will bubble up.* Keep whisking until completely combined and add the salt.
  4. Allow to cool and thicken then salt further to taste. * Store in the fridge for upto 2 weeks*
