Chicken Wannabe-Shawarma Salad

For an at-home shawarma experience

Craving some takeout but your wallet isn't? Try this at-home shawarma meal. You'll have leftovers for days, and you can put it into any type of pita you'd like.

This dish is super simple and well worth making the tabbouleh and hummus!

  1. Preheat oven to 395℉
  2. Line a baking sheet with tin foil and a little bit of avocado or canola oil before putting your 2 seasoned chicken breasts in the pan (seasoned with smoked paprika, garlic salt, cumin, black pepper, Italian seasoning). Cook for 15 minutes and flip
  3. Cook for another 5-10 minutes depending on your oven/until they internally reach 165℉ with a thermometer.
  4. Take out of oven and let sit on a cutting board for 10 minutes to rest before slicing (to retain the moisture).
  5. Slice and enjoy on top of mixed greens, lettuce, or spinach with hummus and tabbouleh! Garnish with a lemon wedge and some hot sauce. DIG IN!
