Perfect oven Chips

No fryer? No Worries!

  • Pre heat your oven to 190C
  • Cut the potatoes into your preferred chip shape. Some like them chunky, some like them thin!
  • Add to a saucepan and fill with cold water ensuring all the chips are covered
  • Add a couple of generous pinches of salt to the water
  • Add to a high heat and bring to the boil
  • If your chips are thin, then remove from the hob as soon as it boils and drain immediately
  • If they are a little thicker give them 2 minutes extra from when the water starts to boil then drain
  • Add to a baking tray or roasting dish and generously add olive oil ensuring all the chips are coated. Add a couple of pinches of salt and toss through the chips
  • Do not over crowd the chips, you may need to do use 2 trays
  • Place into the oven for 20 minutes
  • Remove from the oven, redress with a little more oil (add your chip seasoning now if using it) and a dash more salt and toss through
  • Place back in the oven for another 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately
