- start by mixing seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, red wine vinegar, olive oil and lemon juice in a bowl or pan. Add a splash of water if needed to thin it out.
- Marinate the flat iron steak for 2-12 hours in the mixture.
- Preheat your grill to 225 degrees F.
- Remove steak from marinade and pat dry.
- Place on grill and cook until 120 degrees for medium rare.
- While the steak grills toss the peppers lightly in oil and place on the grill to cook.
- Remove steak from the grill and turn the grill to high(leave the peppers in the grill)
- Sear the steak for 90 seconds a side.
- When the peppers are charred remove from grill and allow to cool slightly.
- Then peel and roughly chop them.
- While the steak is resting make the BBQ aioli. Mix the mayonnaise and bbq sauce together.
- After the steak has rested slice against the grain into thin slices for the sandwich.
- Slice the bread in half and spread the aioli over both sides.
- Cover one side of the bread with the pepper mixture.
- Add the Steak slices to the same half.
- Top with the other half of the bread and slice and serve.
