  • 1 kg Boneless and skinless chicken thighs
  • 220 g Fat free Greek yogurt
  • 1 Lemon (juiced)
  • 4 Garlic cloves minced very finely (use less if you don’t like strong garlic)
  • 1 tbsp Ground coriander
  • 1 tbsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Ground cardamom
  • ½ tsp Dried oregano
  • ½ tsp Cayenne pepper
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsps (Level) paprika
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • Skewers (if using wooden ones soak all day)

Greek chicken gyros

so easy and tasty if you love Greek food you will love this 😍

Total 2 hours 45 minutes

1. Trim all visible fat off the chicken thighs and cut them in half


2. Add the chicken thighs to a large bowl


3. In a smaller bowl add the yogurt all the seasonings and olive oil mix all together add to the chicken make sure all the chicken is coated in the marinade cover with cling film and pop in the fridge for at least 1 hour (I try to marinade over night)


4. Preheat the oven on 180


5. Cover a large baking sheet with foil


6. Thread the marinaded chicken on to the soaked skewers place on the baking tray and put into the e preheated oven and cook till the chicken is the colour seen in the pic (check it’s cooked through properly) if there is any sauce on the tray from the chicken baste the skewers in it


7. Gorgeous served on a warm flat bread tzatziki and feta salad


8. Enjoy ☺️
