- To make the white sauce, melt the butter over a medium heat, then stir in the flour and cook for 2-3 minutes, gradually pour in the milk and continue whisking until thickened and smooth. Season with salt and a good twisting of black pepper.
- Cook the macaroni to the packets instructions then drain.
- Add Mustard into the white sauce then the ketchup and 2/3 of the grated cheese and stir until the cheese has melted, pour in the pasta, making sure its well combined then transfer to a large oven proof baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese then bake in a pre-heated oven set at 200℃ /180℃ fan /gas mark 6 for 30 minutes. Leave to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
