White sauce Ingredients:
  • 50 g unsalted butter
  • 50 g Plain Flour
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 350 g macaroni pasta
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 80 ml tomato ketchup
  • 150 g Grated mozzarella cheese
  • 150 g Grated Cheddar cheese

The Easiest Mac and Cheese Ever

The Easiest Mac and Cheese Ever

This simple recipe uses under 10 ingredients and minimal effort to make a delicious meal the whole family will love.

  1. To make the white sauce, melt the butter over a medium heat, then stir in the flour and cook for 2-3 minutes, gradually pour in the milk and continue whisking until thickened and smooth. Season with salt and a good twisting of black pepper.
  2. Cook the macaroni to the packets instructions then drain.
  3. Add Mustard into the white sauce then the ketchup and 2/3 of the grated cheese and stir until the cheese has melted, pour in the pasta, making sure its well combined then transfer to a large oven proof baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese then bake in a pre-heated oven set at 200℃ /180℃ fan /gas mark 6 for 30 minutes. Leave to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
