Spicy Fried Korean Chicken

Whenever we think of Asian fried food, it’s always either deep fried, dipped in sauce and sprinkled with sesame seeds. But I think there are exceptions just like this one. Chicken cooked in any form tastes so good in any cuisine. But, fried chicken is everyone’s favourite. These are one of the best fried chicken I’ve ever tasted. They are so yummy. If you like the fried chicken from the likes of KFC, Burger King, then try these and the best part is they are not oily and you won’t be as guilty and would never go back to eating fried food from restaurants. The restaurant chicken doesn’t even come close to the taste of the Korean spicy fried chicken. As I have always stated home cooked meals are always the best. The chicken is very flavourful, juicy and tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. These can be had as appetisers or mains with just salad by its side. Kids and adults will love them equally.

Step 1:

Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients except plain flour for 30 minutes.

Step 2:

Add the flour to the chicken marinate, rub the flour properly so that flour sticks to every part of the chicken. The liquid from the sauce helps additional flour to stick to the chicken. Prepare the dipping sauce in a bowl by mixing siracha sauce and mayo.

Step 3:

Heat oil in a deep-frying pan, fry few chicken pieces at a time for 6-7 minutes to golden brown on a medium flame. This helps the chicken to cook nice and evenly inside and out. Enjoy these delicious crispy and crunchy chicken with the dipping sauce.
