Ingredients
For the rib rub
  • 2 racks of ribs
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp peppercorns
  • 1 tsp sugar
For the rib baste
  • 100 ml Fresh Orange Juice
  • 100 g butter cubed
  • 2 tsps sugar
For the glaze
  • 1 bottle of bend chipotle sauce or suitable BBQ sauce

Smoked Bbq Ribs

This is a rib recipe that will not let you down!

You'll never want ribs any other way again! The 321 method of cooking them is simple and produces excellent results!


Set your smoker or bbq for 105℃ Remove the membrane from your ribs

Grind all of your rub ingredients in a pestle and mortar

Rub all over the ribs

place on your smoker for 3 hours

Remove your ribs and lay on a large sheet of foil

carefully add your baste ingredients and do up the foil so they are wrapped securely

Place back on the BBQ still at 105℃ for another 2 hours

unwrap the ribs and glaze with your chosen sauce

put back on the bbq for another 60 mins

carve and enjoy
