Ingredients
  • 500 g 12% mince beef
  • 690 g Passata
  • 180 ml Beef stock
  • 1 tbsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Garlic granules
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 350 g Fresh egg pasta sheets
  • 500 ml White sauce ( i cheated and used a ready made one )
  • 100 g Grated mozzarella
  • 50 g Buffalo mozzarella
  • A handful of chopped parsley

1.Put a splash of oil in a frying pan and add the beef mince and cook until it’s all browned off, once it’s browned off add the passata, beef stock, oregano, garlic and nutmeg and simmer for 20/30 min.

2.Preheat the oven to 180 and grab an-ovenproof dish, ( I’m using a 300x200mm dish ) spread a thin layer of your meat sauce in the bottom of your dish then a layer of pasta and then white sauce, repeat the process of meat sauce and pasta sheets 3/4 more times saving the rest of the white sauce for the top. Once you are out of meat sauce too again with a pasta sheet then pour over your remaining white sauce.

3.Now sprinkle over the grated mozzarella and a few balls of buffalo mozzarella and a bit of black pepper and put into the oven for 30/35 min, keep an eye on it towards the end to make sure the cheese isn’t Burning.

4.Cut into slices and serve with a nice side salad and a glass of red wine, enjoy
