2 pieces cod

2 pieces salmon

2 pieces smoked haddock

500 ml whole milk

1 tsp dried dill
-
½ tsp salt

½ tsp pepper

10 medium potatoes mashed

4 eggs hard boiled
-
½ tsp grated nutmeg
-
1 tsp english mustard
-
100 g mature cheddar cheese
-
1 tsp fresh parsley chopped


Fish Pie
This is a beautiful fish pie that is sure to warm you up!
This is such a comforting hearty dish, you can feel free to swap out any of the fish for your favourites.
- Preheat your oven to 180℃
- in a sauté pan put cod, smoked haddock,& salmon cover with milk
- then sprinkle with dill, salt & pepper and nutmeg
- add in mustard and simmer for 5 mins then remove the fish with slotted spoon and reserve the liquid
- In the same pan add a knob of butter & allow to melt before adding in your flour, form a paste cook off for a minute or so then slowly add your milk back in whisking on a low heat until combined and lump free
- add your fish and sauce into a large pie dish
- add a large handful of spinach
- hard boil your eggs and peel and half then layer into your dish
- cover your fish pie with the mashed potato, smooth out then rough up and add grated cheddar & chopped parsley
- bake in oven for 30 mins 180℃ or until golden.
