  • 2 pork loins, fat removed and sliced
  • 60 g cabbage
  • ¼ red pepper (or whatever you have!)
  • 100 g beansprouts
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • ½ medium onion
  • ¼ red chilli
  • 120 g noodles
Sauce
  • 1 tsp cornflour mixed with a little water
  • 2½ tbsps ketchup
  • 2 tbsps light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp rice wine vinegar (sub in for what you have)
  • ½ tsp sesame oil
  • 4 tbsps water (more if you want it with more sauce)

Speedy Pork Stir Fry

When you're short on time and need something quick for lunch, why not give these a go? It's also a great way to use up the odds and ends of any veg you have (or left over roast chicken/pork/beef!


  1. Prepare your ingredients, this is all about speed. Slice the pork and veg then mix together the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl. Pre-mix the cornflour and a little water in a separate bowl first before adding it to the sauce ingredients.
  2. In a hot pan, fry the pork until its cooked through and then remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan add the sliced garlic and chopped chilli and stir fry for a few seconds before adding in the onion and pepper.
  4. Toss this together for about 3-4 minutes before adding the cabbage and cooking for a further 2 minutes.
  5. Add the beansprouts and pork, mix before adding in the noodles. Toss to incorporate everything.
  6. Add the sauce and stir, let it thicken to your desired consistency before serving.
