  • 20 Wonton skins
  • 400 g Ground beef 20% fat
  • 4 Spring onions chopped saving the green ends for garnish
  • 3 tbsps Soy sauce
  • 2 tsps Rice wine
  • 2 tbsps Honey
  • 1 tbsp Chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
Chilli oil
  • 200 ml Good quality olive oil
  • 3 Garlic cloves thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes
  • 2 tsps Sesame seeds

Delicious spicy beef dumplings with a homemade chilli oil

Prep 1 hour
Total 1 hour

Super simple in terms of stages to this but the wrapping can get fiddly, so take your time.


Dumplings, just mix together the ingredients. Place a teaspoon of the mix in the middle of a wonton wrapper. Wet your finger with water and trace around the edges of the wrap then fold diagonally across (corner to corner) over the mix to make a triangle. Press the edges to seal.


Steam on high for 5 mins or dunk in simmering water for the same.


For the chilli oil, simply heat the oil and pop the rest of the ingredients in a heatproof dish. Pour over the oil once piping hot and let it sizzle away. Allow to cool before serving!
