Pan Fried Hake with Brown Butter Shrimps Pan Fried Hake with Brown Butter Shrimps

There's something quite divine about pan fried fillets of fresh white fish... and hake is just perfect! Cooked here in brown butter with these super flavour packed shrimps. Quick and easy, cooked in one pan and ready in literally a matter of minutes! And... I have to say it... deliciouly tasty too! Serve with roasted or mashed potato.

  1. Start by dipping in the fillets of fish in seasoned flour... just to lightly coat them on both sides
  2. Then heat up a little oil in a pan and when it's hot, add in the fish and fry over a moderate heat on one side for a couple of minutes, before adding in the butter. Turn the fish over and when the butter starts to brown and foam, spoon over the fillets to baste nicely in the hot buter
  3. Finally add in the shrimps, along with the parsley and stir in the butter to warm through. Season with a little sea salt and black pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice. Serve with roasted or mashed potatoes
