Gyoza style Dumplings
My favourite little parcels of loveliness is the perfect use of left overs, when they say there is nothing and then you make something, has to be the best feeling in the world. When I posted this on my instagrid a while ago had had a lot of comments some not that nice, asking which Chinese I had bought them from, trust me if you have the bits n bobs these can be rustled up in no time and definitely quicker than a dial in, and if you are like me and love a Friday takeaway why not try this fake away.
If you want to make your own wrappers then I would highly recommend Pippa Middlehurst book Dumplings and Noodles
- Pour boiling water over mushrooms and leave to soak
- When soft chop by hand all the other ingredients by had.....not the wrappers
- Make little parcels, add a teaspoon of the mixture into the centre of the wrapper, moisten the edges with a little water now pleat and press, you will get the hang of it this you tube link is a good starting point.
- I like to fry mine so the bottom is crispy, then a splash of water add a lid then steam
